PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley Sports Performance Head Coach Eddie Papis has announced Gabi Haack (women's basketball) and Kealia Wysocki (softball) have been recognized as 2019-20 All-American Strength and Conditioning Athletes of the Year by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

The NSCA All-American Strength and Conditioning Athletes of the Year program recognizes collegiate and high school athletes whose athletic accomplishments, in the opinion of their strength coach, reflect their dedication to strength training and conditioning.  The NSCA All-Americans are also recognized for their academic and personal accomplishments and integrity as student-athletes.

Haack earned First-Team All-Missouri Valley Conference honors for the second consecutive year after ranking 10th in the Valley in scoring at 13.3 points per game and 13th in rebounding (6.0 rpg).  Her 69 made three-pointers were second in the MVC and tied for the fifth-best total in Bradley history.  One of eight players in the country with 69 made three-pointers, 175 rebounds and at least 65 assists, Haack is second in Bradley history with 206 career made three-pointers and helped Bradley Women's Basketball to the most overall (22) and MVC (13) victories in program history.

"Gabi's work ethic and commitment to her training is one of the best I've seen here at Bradley," said Bradley Sports Performance Assistant Coach Matt Friend.  "She is always finding a way to better herself on the court and in the weight room, and it has shown in her on-court production. Her progress in her training has been tremendous with totaling a 185-pound bench press, 315-pound squat, and 365-pound deadlift. Her commitment in the weight room has been a big factor to her becoming one of the best women's basketball players in the conference."

Wysocki was hitting a team-best .433 and had reached base safely in a career-best 18 consecutive contests.  She had nine multi-hit games in 2020 and was hitting .483 (28-of-58) over the last 18 contests to go with a .516 on base percentage and .707 slugging percentage over that stretch.  Second in career home runs at Bradley with 29, Wysocki is eighth in Bradley history with 99 career RBI.  She helped the Braves to a 14-9 record this spring for the team's best record through 23 games since 2007.  Wysocki was a Third-Team NFCA All-Mideast Region in 2019 in addition to earning First-Team All-MVC honors as a junior after belting a school season record 13 homers.

"Kealia's leadership is one of the best when it comes to her training," said Friend. "Her ability to make others around her better around is an attribute that can set her apart. She also translates this into her training totaling a 185-pound bench press, 300-pound squat and 400-pound deadlift. This commitment to her training is great to see in day in and day out."
