PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior women's golfer Taylor Ledwein (New Prague, Minn./New Prague) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday.

After missing the first three tournaments of the 2019-20 season due to injury, Ledwein returned to post a 72.82 stroke average in her four outings before the season came to an end.  Her season average would have topped the best season average in Missouri Valley Conference history set by Bradley's Danielle Lemek in 2013-14.  Ledwein posted three top-10 finishes and was among the top 20 in all four tournaments in 2019-20.  In fact, she finished fifth or better in three of her four outings.  Her career stroke average of 75.58 ranks second in Bradley history, while her 16 career top-10 finishes is third all-time at BU.  A marketing major, Ledwein owns a 3.19 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.
