A pair of Bradley men's basketball players added to the Braves postseason accolades as sophomore forward Ja'Shon Henry was named to the Missouri Valley Conference Most Improved Team, while freshman guard Ville Tahvanainen collected All-Bench Team accolades.

Henry more than doubled his output from a season ago, averaging 9.7 points and 6.1 rebounds during his sophomore campaign. Henry raised his scoring average by 4.5 points and his rebounds by 3.7 as he tallied 4.2 points and 2.4 boards as a rookie. The forward also scored in double figures 16 times during the 2019-20 campaign after three 10-plus point contests as a freshman.

Tahvanainen averaged 6.3 points in 30 appearances as a rookie (two starts), including 8.1 points during Valley play. The rookie made at least one 3-pointer in 16-of-17 conference games that he appeared in, ranking third in the league in MVC games only with a 46.8 percent clip from 3-point range (29-of-62). Overall, Tahvanainen's 37 made triples this season are the seventh most by a Bradley freshmen, while his 39.4 clip from beyond the arc is the second-best by a BU rookie.

Henry, Tahvanainen and the Braves now turn their attention toward the postseason as Bradley looks to defend its Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Championship and earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Bradley opens against Southern Illinois on Friday with the quarterfinal slated to begin at Enterprise Center at 2:30 p.m.
