The Bradley men's basketball team completed its 2020-21 roster on Wednesday, adding one of the nation's top freshman point guards from a season ago in Sean East II (Louisville, Ky.) along with an all-state honoree wing in Jayson Kent (Oak Forest, Ill.), announced by Braves head coach Brian Wardle.

"These two players complete our team's puzzle for the upcoming season," Wardle said. "In the classroom, locker room and on the floor, they will be a really good fit within our program. They bring their own unique abilities, which compliments and makes them different from the talented roster we have coming back. I can't wait to get to work with this team!"

East joins the Bradley program after spending one season at Massachusetts. The 6-foot-3 guard led the Minutemen and ranked 57th in Division I with 4.9 assists per game – the fourth-best total in the country by a freshman. Named one of the top 50 undergraduate transfers in the nation by ESPN, East also scored 9.3 points and 2.5 rebounds per game at the Atlantic 10 school, while leading UMass with 34 total steals.

"Sean is a shifty and quick left-handed guard that can play-make for others and for himself," Wardle said. "He had a really nice productive freshman year and we are very excited to work with him in his development."

East will have three years of eligibility remaining at Bradley.

A 6-foot-7 guard, Kent capped his senior campaign with Oak Forest High School by leading the Bengals to their first conference and regional championships since 1987. Named an All-Illinois honoree by the IBCA and Prep Hoops, Kent averaged 17.8 points and 5.5 rebounds during his senior season, shooting 48.9 percent from the field and 43.4 percent (72-of-166) from 3-point range. Overall, Kent totaled 1,290 points during his standout high school career, averaging 14.7 per game.

"Jayson is a long and talented shooter with deep range," Wardle said. "I love that he has improved every year and has a mature game."

The duo joins November signees Darius Hannah and Connor Linke to form Bradley's four-man recruiting class. The newest Braves join a roster that returns seven letterwinners from a program that has won back-to-back Missouri Valley Conference Championships, qualifying for the NCAA Tournament in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1954 and 1955.
