The 2020 Kaboom! Awards, presented by RE/MAX Traders Unlimited and supported by PNC, continues with a look back at the 2019-20 men's cross country and track campaigns.

The Braves once again enjoyed a successful campaign on the course and track during the last year. Bradley won its fifth-straight Missouri Valley Conference Championship in the fall and in dominating fashion. The fifth-straight title for the Braves ties a conference record, originally set by Wichita State from 1971 to 1975. The Braves also set a modern-day conference record by winning the championship with only 17 points, featuring the top four finishers at the meet and five of the top seven. Senior Jake Hoffert highlighted the meet by becoming the first Brave in school history to win the Valley individual crown for a second time.

The year on the track for BU was highlighted by totaling 70 points at the 2019 Missouri Valley Outdoor Championship -- 13 points higher than Bradley has totaled at any past outdoor meet. Overall, five Braves earned all-conference honors on an individual level at the 2019 outdoor championship and 2020 indoor meet in additon to the 4x400 relay team earning All-Valley honors and reaching the podium for the first time since 1969.

Michael Ward was named the team's Most Outstanding Runner of the 2019 outdoor season, while Scott Seymour earned Most Improved accolades. Jake Hoffert collected Most Outstanding Runner honors during the cross country campaign with Matthew Richtman receiving the Most Improved Award. Finally, Luke Hoffert was named the team's Most Outstanding Runner during the indoor season, while Jack Franklin collected Most Improved accolades.

Coming up on Thursday is Coach Joe Stowell Award finalists and winners.
