Four Braves Named to NABC Honors Court

The Bradley men's basketball team excelled on and off the court during the 2019-20 season as a league-high four Braves were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court on Wednesday. Seniors Koch Bar and Nate Kennell and juniors Elijah Childs and Danya Kingsby all collected the accolade for the back-to-back Missouri Valley Conference Champions.
 
In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athletes must be a junior or senior varsity player and own a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2019-20 academic year. Bradley's four selections are tied for 13th nationally among 353 Division I schools.
 
Bar and Kennell each collected the accolade for the second time during their career, while Childs and Kingsby were first-time honorees. Additionally, Bradley was honored as a team with the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award for posting a cumulative grade point average of more than 3.0 for the 2019-20 season.
 
In addition to its success in the classroom, Bradley enjoyed another successful campaign on the court. The Braves won their second-straight MVC Championship with an 80-66 victory against Valparaiso, while qualifying for the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1954 and 1955.
