PEORIA, IL – The Bradley soccer team earned a Missouri Valley Conference victory on Saturday night at Shea Stadium with a 1-0 win against SIU Edwardsville. The Braves are now 3-9-1 on the year and 2-5-0 in Valley action, while the Cougars move to 4-8-2 and 2-5-0 versus league foes.

The Braves applied pressure throughout with a number of near misses in the contest before finally grabbing the lead in the 77th minute. Jack Douglas flicked the ball toward goal-line extended with Jared Sinnaeve heading it toward the net. Jake Schoffstall then headed in from close range for his second tally of the season and the 1-0 edge.

The Bradley defense would then finish off the victory. The Braves, which allowed only one shot on net the entire game – saved by Bryce Logan – have now extended their shutout streak to just over 263 minutes since last allowing a goal. Logan kept his second-straight clean sheet, his third of the season and the fourth during his time in the Red and White.

Bradley hits the road for the next two games, starting with a contest at Loyola on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
