ST. LOUIS – Bradley Soccer placed three student-athletes on the 2021 Missouri Valley Conference Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete Team, according to a vote of the league's sports information directors announced Wednesday morning.

Graduate transfer Bryce Logan (Bellingham, WA/Mt. Baker H.S.) and sophomore defender Rasmus Smidtslund (Helsinki, Finland) both earned spots on the 13-man first team by sporting perfect, 4.0 grade point averages.  Redshirt freshman defender Jack Armitage (Lakeville, MN/Lakeville North H.S.) is one of four student-athletes to earn honorable mention recognition.

The 2020-21 MVC Goalkeeper of the Year, Logan is pursuing his master's degree in non-profit leadership after transferring to Bradley from the University of Washington.  Logan played all 2,698 available minutes between the pipes during his two seasons with the Braves, finishing ninth in program history with 121 saves.  A two-time Valley Defensive Player-of-the-Week selection, Logan qualified for the MVC Honor Roll in 2021 and the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll during the 2021 Spring semester after his transfer from Washington.

Both Smidtslund and Armitage were members of Bradley's 2019 recruiting class and each qualified for the MVC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award in 2021, as well as the MVC Honor Roll in 2020 and 2021.

A repeat selection for the MVC Scholar-Athlete first team, Smidtslund is majoring in management information systems and has completed his first two years on campus with a 4.0 cumulative GPA.  After fulfilling his military service commitment in his native Finland, Smidtslund played in 18 of Bradley's 19 games as a true freshman during the 2019 season and he will enter the 2022 campaign as the team's active leader with 47 career games played and 45 career starts.  After scoring the game-winning goal in Bradley's MVC Tournament quarterfinal win last week at SIU Edwardsville, he has recorded 10 points on four goals and two assists.

After redshirting the 2019 season as a true freshman, Armitage appeared in 24 games, including 20 as a starter in Bradley's back line, during the 2021 calendar year.  Majoring in mechanical engineering, Armitage sports a 3.52 cumulative GPA.
