The Bradley men's basketball team is headed back to the Cancun Challenge, looking to repeat its championship run from 2018 as the Braves were announced on Wednesday night as one the schools for next November's field in Mexico.

Seven of the eight programs headed to the 2022 tournament were named as the Braves are set to be joined by Auburn, Liberty, Northwestern, Purdue Fort Wayne, Southern Miss and Winthrop.

The Braves revisit the site of their first regular-season tournament title in 35 seasons when it returns to Cancun four years later. In 2018, Bradley earned a 75-62 victory against SMU in the semifinals before defeating the Big Ten's Penn State in the championship game, 59-56. It marked BU's first title run since winning the 1983 River City Shootout and its first outside of Peoria since claiming the 1966 Sugar Bowl.

The tournament is slated for Nov. 22-23, 2022 at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya in Cancun, Mexico. The tournament also includes games played at campus host sites during the non-conference campaign.
