Charlie Parrish Named Bradley Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

PEORIA, Ill. – Senior runner Charlie Parrish (Freeburg, Ill./Freeburg) has been named this week's Bradley Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after helping Bradley Men's Cross Country to a second-place finish at last week's Missouri Valley Conference Championship.

Parrish captured all-conference honors for the second straight season, finishing seventh overall in a time of 24:51.2 at Friday's MVC Cross Country Championship in Normal, Ill. In addition to the All-MVC honors, Parrish was named the Valley's Elite 17 Award winner after garnering that same award at the 2021 MVC Outdoor Track & Field Championship. A business management and leadership major, Parrish owns a 3.95 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a student-athlete is selected as the Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Parrish and the Braves return to action Friday, Nov. 12 at the NCAA Midwest Regional in Iowa City, Iowa.
