Ja’Shon Henry Named Bradley Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

PEORIA, Ill. – Senior forward Ja'Shon Henry (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan/Athol Murray College of Notre Dame) has been named this week's Bradley Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after scoring a team-high 18 points to highlight Bradley Men's Basketball's 77-73 home win over Saint Joseph's Saturday.

Henry was 7-for-11 from the field in the victory, scoring a season-high and team-best 18 points and also pulled down six rebounds as the Braves pushed their home win streak to five with the 77-73 victory against visiting Saint Joseph's Saturday afternoon at Carver Arena. A retail merchandise major, Henry owns a 3.29 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a student-athlete is selected as the Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Henry and the Braves are in action tonight, opening play at the WestStar Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational in El Paso, Texas, with a 6 p.m. contest against Sam Houston.
