The teams played a close first half until a late run by Toledo gave the hosts a little cushion at the break. With the Braves ahead by three, 21-18, the Rockets used a quick 8-0 spurt to pull in front by five, 26-21. Toledo stretched its advantage to seven before Leons finished the half with his third 3-pointer of the game to pull BU within four, 35-31.

The Braves stayed within striking distance in the second half and finally made their move late in the contest behind the shooting from Roberts. Trailing by as many as 12 points, 58-46, with 6:54 remaining, Bradley used a 14-3 stretch to pull within a single point, 61-60. Roberts scored nine of the team's points during the run to set up the close finish.

Toledo moved back in front by five, 65-60, with 2:53 left in regulation only for BU to sink a free throw and then have Roberts finish off two driving layups in the final minute to square the contest at 65 with 21.8 seconds remaining. However, the Braves were whistled for a foul with just 6.4 seconds left and Toledo sunk both attempts from the charity stripe. BU's final 3-point shot at the buzzer just missed as the Rockets secured the two-point home victory.

Bradley finished the game by shooting 43.4 percent with an 8-of-23 mark from 3-point range. The Rockets made 43.1 percent of their field goals with a 5-of-17 clip from beyond the arc.
