PEORIA, Ill. – Junior sprinter Hannah Ivy (Glendale Heights, Ill./Glenbard North) has been named this week's Bradley Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after winning the 400-meter title at the season-opening John Coughlan Invitational.

Ivy won the 400-meter title and finished fifth in the 200 meters to help lead Bradley Track & Field at the John Coughlan Invitational Saturday.  She edged out Bradley freshman Amiyah Davis by seven one-hundredths of a second for the top spot in the 400-meter field, crossing the line at 57.89 seconds for the fastest time at Bradley in the event since the 2020 MVC Indoor Championship.  Ivy returned to the track later in the day to clock a personal-best 200-meter time of 26.57 seconds to finish fifth.  Her 200-meter time ranks eighth in school history and is currently 26th-best nationally (57.14#).  An English education major, Ivy owns a 3.38 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a student-athlete is selected as the Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Ivy and the Bradley Track & Field teams return to action Jan. 15 in Iowa City, Iowa, at the Hawkeye Invitational.
