JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- For the first time in her career Mara Flaherty was the top finisher for Bradley Women's Golf, with the sophomore tying for 56th overall and helping the Braves to a 12th-place team finish at the season-opening First Coast Classic Tuesday.

Flaherty was Bradley's top finisher in the field, but Taylor Ledwein had the low round of the tournament for the Braves as the senior wrapped up a one-over 73 in the second round when play resumed early this morning after weather forced the suspension of Monday's second round.

Bradley had four individuals card rounds in the 70's in the second round, posting a 304 before wrapping up the event with a 328 to finish 12th overall at 950.  The Braves were 20 back of 11th-place finisher Cincinnati.  Tournament-host North Florida claimed the team title at the par-72 Deerwood Country Club at six-under 858, while Troy was second in the field at 874.

Flaherty put the wraps on a second-round 76 early in the day and finished out the tournament with a third-round 85 to earn a share of 56th at 235.

Junior Maddie Hawkins finished six behind Flaherty in a tie for 62nd overall at 241, following up a second-round 78 with a third-round 79.

Ledwein started the day at one-over through 11 holes of the second round and played even through the final seven holes to post the low round of the tournament for the Braves at one-over 73.  She finished out the event with an 84 to tie sophomore Sarah Nacos for 64th overall at 242.  Nacos also had a strong finish to the suspended second round, going one-over par through the final nine holes to close out a second-round 77.  She went on to card a third-round 88 to match Ledwein's score of 242 and tie for 64th.

Sophomore Megan Welch rounded out the scoring for the Braves, placing 69th in the field at 248.  Welch finished off a second-round 85, only to post her low round of the tournament to conclude the event with a third-round 80.

Bradley has a break before the Braves are scheduled to return to action March 13 & 14 at Southern Illinois.
