DALLAS – Former Bradley Volleyball star Lindsay Stalzer (Kewanee, IL/Kewanee HS) has played professionally around the world since her graduation in 2006, but her pro career will bring her back to the United States for the first time in 2021.  Stalzer is one of the select players who will debut the Athletes Unlimited Women's Indoor Volleyball League later this month.

Athletes Unlimited introduced a new professional league model last summer with its softball league and will bring women's volleyball online this month and women's lacrosse in July.  Players accumulate points based on their team's success and individual statistical performances.  Each week, the top four players atop the leaderboard become team captains and draft new teams for the next week of competition with the season's leading scorer crowned the Athletes Unlimited Champion.

The only women's professional indoor volleyball league in the United States, Athletes Unlimited will bring together 44 of the top players from around the world for five weeks of competition at Fair Park Coliseum from Feb. 27-March 29, much of which will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network, FS1 and FS2 with streaming also available on Dailymotion, Twitter, Facebook, Twitch and YouTube.

Inducted into the Bradley Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016, Stalzer was the 2005 Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and completed her four-year career as the league's all-time leader with 1,948 kills.  She led the nation with 720 kills in 2005, setting the league single-season record.

Since her graduation, Stalzer has played professionally in 10 countries and is a three-time league MVP.  Her teams have won three championships in the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix (2016, 2017, 2018), as well as the 2017 Indonesian Proliga, the 2016 Finnish League and the Slovenian League.

Among the Athletes Unlimited professionals who played NCAA volleyball, Stalzer is the only player not from a current Power 5 league (ACC, Big 10, Big 12, Pac-12, SEC).  In addition to Stalzer, the current 42-player pool also includes Normal, IL product Taylor Bruns, who played collegiately at Southern California, as well as Dalianliz Rosado, the sister of former Bradley star Yavianliz Rosado.

The Athletes Unlimited Women's Indoor Volleyball League will conduct its first scrimmage draft Feb. 19 and will play six scrimmages before conducting its first regular-season weekly draft Feb. 23.  The six matches in Week 1 will be played Feb. 27-March 1.
