CARBONDALE, IL – Senior Taylor Ledwein finished second with a 2-round, +4 and Maddie Hawkins equaled the second-best individual round of the day with a +1 (73), but it was not enough to prevent Southern Illinois from rallying for a 6-shot win in the two-day dual tournament between the Missouri Valley Conference rivals at Hickory Ridge.

Counting four scores for a second-day 293, the Salukis made up nine shots Sunday for a 596-602 victory.

Among Bradley's nine players, the team's top counting scorers Sunday –Ledwein (74), Elyse Emerzian (75), Mara Flaherty (75) and Megan Welch (78) – combined for a second-round 302.  Hawkins was playing as an individual Sunday and did not count in the team scoring.  Replacing Welch's 78 with Hawkins' 73, however, still would have left the Braves one shot back of the Salukis.

Bradley will have a week off, before facing the Salukis again by participating in SIU's Diane Daugherty Invitational March 29-30 at Greenbriar Hills Country Club in Kirkwood, MO.
