Elijah Childs Earns NABC All-District Honors

Senior forward Elijah Childs of the Bradley men's basketball was honored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Tuesday, earning selection to the NABC All-District 16 Second Team.

Also named a second-team All-Missouri Valley Conference selection, Childs is one of just 16 Braves to earn all-conference honors three times during his career. He finished his senior campaign with a team-high 14.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.27 blocks per game – ranking sixth in the Valley in scoring, second in boards and fourth in blocks. Childs is also the first Brave since Andrew Warren in 2010-11 to lead the team in both scoring and rebounding in the same season.

Also named the MVC Tournament Most Outstanding Player in 2019 and a member of the 2020 MVC All-Tournament Team as Bradley won back-to-back conference tournaments, Childs ranks 22nd in school history with 1,350 career points, seventh with 849 career rebounds and second with 154 career blocks.

Childs' honor marks the fourth-straight season a Brave has collected All-District honors – a first for the Bradley program since 1985-88.
