ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Senior Taylor Ledwein was voted the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Year after capturing the fifth All-MVC honor of her career as she helped Bradley Women's Golf tie for sixth in the final team standings at the 2020-21 MVC Championship Tuesday.

On a cold and snowy final day of the MVC Championship at the par-71 Bogey Hills Country Club that featured just six sub-80 rounds among the 50 competitors, Bradley shot a 339 to tie Southern Illinois for sixth in the team standings (967).

Ledwein earned her fourth top-10 finish of the year, tying for eighth individually to pace the Braves at 21-over 234 after firing a team-best 82 in the final round.  Earning All-Valley honors for the fifth consecutive season, Ledwein was also selected as the Valley's Golfer of the Year as she joined Kelly Amundrud (2011-12) and Danielle Lemek (2015-16, 2014-15 & 2013-14) as the only Bradley individuals to earn the honor.  Bradley has now had the MVC Golfer of the Year five times in the 15-year history of the award.

Evansville claimed the team title, winning a playoff with Northern Iowa for the crown after the teams tied atop the standings at 942. Illinois State was third overall at 944, while Missouri State took fourth (948). Bradley and Southern Illinois finished eight shots back of fifth-place Drake (959) and the pair had a 14-shot advantage on eighth-place Indiana State (981).

Ledwein finished five shots back of individual medalist Sophie Rohleder, who claimed the individual title by two strokes at 229.

Megan Welch finished three spots out of the top 20 in the individual standing at 244, closing the tournament at 244; while Elyse Emerzian was just one back of Welch in a tie for 25th (245) after a final round 87.

Maddie Hawkins matched Emerzian's 87 in the final round to move up four spots in the standings in a tie for 34th (252).  Rounding out the scoring for Bradley, Mara Flaherty vaulted up five spots into 38th overall at 254, firing an 85 Tuesday.
