The Bradley basketball team landed one of the nation's highest-ranked junior college combo guards on Friday when Terry Roberts (Amityville, N.Y.) signed to join the Braves program.

Roberts keyed Florida SouthWestern State to a Top 25 national ranking and 18-5 record in 2020-21, leading the Buccaneers in scoring, assists and steals. The sophomore finished the year 10th in the country with 2.7 steals and 26th with 5.7 assists in addition to 15.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.

"We're very excited to have Terry join our Bradley family," said Braves head coach Brian Wardle. "We have been recruiting him for months and he is going to be a great fit within our program and culture. Terry is a very effective two-way player who can score, play-make and is a great disrupter on the defensive end."

The 6-foot-3 guard collected numerous accolades during his career with the Buccaneers. Roberts was named to the FCSAA All-State and All-Tournament Teams following the 2020-21 season, while earning first-team all-conference honors as a sophomore and second-team recognition as a rookie in 2019-20.

Overall, Roberts totaled 524 points, 214 assists, 193 rebounds and 122 steals in 52 games during his two seasons on campus. He is Florida SouthWestern State's all-time leader in steals, while ranking third in assists and eighth in points.

Roberts joins a Bradley program that has won two of the last three Missouri Valley Conference Tournament titles. He is the third student-athlete to sign with the Braves for the 2021-22 campaign – joining Connor Hickman (Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington South) and Mikey Howell (San Marco, Calif./UC San Diego).
