PEORIA, Ill. – Senior outfielder Dan Bolt (Morton, Ill./Morton) has been named this week's Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after helping Bradley Baseball to a 3-2 record last week, including a series split at Missouri Valley Conference rival Missouri State.

For the week, Bolt was 8-for-18 (.444) with five walks, two doubles, two RBIs and eight runs scored.  During Friday's doubleheader split at Missouri State, he went 6-for-8 with a walk in the twinbill and then closed out the series Saturday by going 1-for-2 with four walks.  Highlighted by his third four-hit game of the season in the doubleheader opener, Bolt finished the series by reaching base safely 12 times in his final 15 plate appearances.  His four walks in the series finale equaled the single-game program record for free passes.  For the season, Bolt is batting .370 with a 1.075 OPS.  A finance major, Bolt owns a 3.00 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a student-athlete is selected as the Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Bolt and the Braves return to action Friday against Evansville with a 6 p.m. contest at Dozer Park that kicks off a four-game series against the Purple Aces and season-long, 12-game home stand.
