PEORIA, Ill. – After firing its lowest 54-hole score since October 2018 earlier this week at the Murray State Invitational, Bradley Men's Golf returns to the course Monday and Tuesday in Kettering, Ohio, for the Dayton Flyer Intercollegiate.
The Braves will be playing in a tournament hosted by Dayton for the third consecutive season after taking part in the Flyer Invitational, which is usually held in the fall, in both the 2019-20 and 2018-19 seasons. The Flyer Invitational has historically been played at the par-71 NCR Country Club's South Course, while this year's Flyer Intercollegiate will be held at the par-70 NCR Country Club's North Course.
Play gets underway both Monday and Tuesday with 8 a.m. (CDT) shotgun starts. BradleyBraves.com will provide links to the BirdieFire.com live scoring.
Bradley is the lone Missouri Valley Conference team in the 12-team field that consists of six Horizon League foes in Cleveland State, Fort Wayne, IUPUI, Northern Kentucky, Wright State and Youngstown State. Tournament-host Dayton is joined by Bowling Green, DePaul, Morehead State and Ohio to complete the field.
Jalen Hodges paced the Braves last time out at the Murray State Invitational, finishing at one-over 217 to tie for 18th. In fact, Hodges matched the lowest round of his Bradley career with a two-under 70 in the final round and leads the team with a 74.75 stroke average, which includes a 73.00 average in the last two stroke play events.
Josh Kirkham continues to be a regular in the lineup for the Braves after tying for 31st at the Murray State Invitational. Kirkham is the only individual to place among Bradley's top three finishers in each outing over the last two seasons and is coming off the lowest 54-hole score (222) during his time as a Brave. He tied for 31st at the Flyer Invitational during the 2019-20 season.
Senior Alex Ciaramitaro paced Bradley at the 2019 Flyer Invitational, tying for 26th overall. Ciaramitaro has fired a 75 or better in nine of his last 14 rounds dating to the start of the 2020 Spring season and owns a 74.14 stroke average over that stretch.
Sophomore Roy Radke played in his first 54-hole tournament as a Brave at the Murray State Invitational and was third among Bradley's lineup. Radke, who tied for 48th in the field at nine-over 225, has fired a 74 or better in three of his last four competitive rounds.
