Bradley University students, faculty and staff may purchase TBT tickets for Monday night session for just $10

PEORIA, IL - Officials from The Basketball Tournament and the Peoria Civic Center want to make sure the Bradley University campus community will provide the energy to help the school's alumni team, Always A Brave, advance to the next round of the summer's premier basketball tournament. Bradley University students, faculty and staff may purchase TBT Illinois Region Session 6 tickets for just $10 by presenting their University ID at the Civic Center Toyota Box Office throughout the afternoon and evening Monday.

Always A Brave made TBT Elam Ending history when it rallied from a 72-59 deficit and a game-winning target score of 74 Saturday night in first-round action against Chicago Hoopville Warriors at Carver Arena. Marcellus Sommerville (11 points), a Peoria native and star of Bradley's 2006 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 squad, and 2020 MVC Tournament MVP Darrell Brown (5) combined for all 16 points to rally the Bradley alumni team to the thrilling, 75-73 win. The duo also connected on the game-winning basket as Brown collected a rebound and found Sommerville for a breakaway layup to complete the comeback and send Carver Arena into a frenzy.

Always A Brave will play the final game of second-round action Monday at Carver Arena. Session 5 games tip off at 1 p.m., with Session 6 to follow at 6 o'clock.

The Carver Arena box office will be open throughout the tournament action Monday and tickets also are available online by visiting thetournament.com/illinois. The $10 offer for Bradley University students, faculty and staff is redeemable at the Toyota Box Office only.
