EDWARDSVILLE, IL – Bradley's pair of newcomers remained undefeated in Flight Singles competition as the Braves wrapped up play at the Cougar Invite. 
 
It was an early morning for the Braves as first serve for Singles Flights began at 8 o'clock against the host Cougars. Madalena Andrade went the distance for a second consecutive singles match, picking up a 4-6, 6-4, 10-6 win in Flight 3. 
 
Right behind her was Kirstin Hailey at Flight 4 Singles. The freshman was pushed in the first set, but was steady in a 7-6, 6-2 victory. Reigning Missouri Valley Conference Flight 6 Singles Champion Nikki Perlwitz cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win at the same spot.
 
A break was followed by doubles competition against Eastern Illinois. The reliable duo of Bozana Lojpur and Perlwitz picked up a 6-3 win at Flight 2. The Braves also were victorious in Flight 3, as Nina Marjanovic/Juliana Martinez dominated in a 6-1 victory.
 
It was all Bradley in Singles against Western Illinois at 2 o'clock. The Braves did not drop a set in all five singles matches. Sandra Maletin picked up the first victory of her fall campaign, rolling to a 6-2, 6-0 win in Flight 1.
 
Bradley will have a week to recover before making the trek down I-74 to compete at the 3-day Redbird Invite beginning on Friday. Tournament information will be provided on Thursday.
