Valley Announces 2021-22 Conference Schedule

The Missouri Valley Conference released its men's basketball schedule on Tuesday, completing the 2021-22 Bradley slate.

The Braves once again host all nine MVC schools in the league's traditional 18-game round-robin format. Highlighting the 2021-22 Valley schedule is five home weekend contests, including against in-state rivals Illinois State and Southern Illinois, plus a rare early December home game.

Bradley opens the conference season Wednesday, Dec. 1 at Carver Arena against Northern Iowa. It marks the earliest MVC game in school history for BU – one day earlier than the 1950-51 opener against Houston on Dec. 2.

The Braves then return to conference play one month later when they travel to face Indiana State on Jan. 2. Bradley hosts Missouri State (Jan. 5), Evansville (Jan. 12), Southern Illinois (Jan. 22) and Indiana State (Jan. 30) during the first full month of the conference campaign, while playing at Loyola (Jan. 8), Illinois State (Jan. 16), Drake (Jan. 19) and Valparaiso (Jan. 26).

The second month of Valley play is highlighted by a rare weekend home game against I-74 rival Illinois State. The Braves welcome the Redbirds to Carver Arena on Saturday, Feb. 19 – marking just the second time in the last 25 seasons and the first time since 2012 that BU hosts Illinois State on a weekend in Peoria.

Bradley also hosts Loyola (Feb. 9), Drake (Feb. 12) and Valparaiso (Feb. 26) during the final month of regular-season play, while playing at Northern Iowa (Feb. 2), Evansville (Feb. 5), Southern Illinois (Feb. 15) and Missouri State (Feb. 23).

Braves' season tickets are currently on sale, starting at just $125. Fans can purchase tickets at the Bradley Athletics Ticket Office at Renaissance Coliseum (309-677-2625 or BradleyTicketOffice@bradley.edu) with the ticket office open 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Mini packs and single-game tickets can be purchased later in the preseason.

The Braves have won two of the last three Missouri Valley Conference Tournament crowns and qualified for its respective NCAA Tournament. Bradley returns two starters and eight letterwinners from last season, while adding eight additional newcomers for the 2021-22 campaign.
