Valley Unveils 18-Game League Slate

After playing five of its first seven MVC games on the road, Bradley will close by hosting seven of its final 11 league contests

ST. LOUIS – A road heavy start to the conference season means Bradley will enjoy a run of home games down the stretch, according to the release of the 2021-22 Missouri Valley Conference Women's Basketball schedule by the league office Wednesday afternoon.

The traditional 18-game, double round-robin schedule format returns for the 2021-22 campaign. Bradley will tip off its Valley slate Jan. 1 against I-74 rival Illinois State. Including the opener at Redbird Arena, the Braves will play five of their first seven Valley games on the road with their league home opener slated for Thursday, Jan. 13 against Loyola Chicago at Renaissance Coliseum. The Braves also will host Valparaiso Saturday, Jan. 15.

Following the road focused start to the league season, Bradley will play seven of its final 11 Valley games at Renaissance Coliseum, starting with a four-game home stand against Drake (Jan. 27), UNI (Jan. 29), Indiana State (Feb. 4) and Evansville (Feb. 6). The Braves will host Southern Illinois Feb. 18 and Missouri State Feb. 20, before closing out the 2021-22 regular season with a Senior Day matchup against the rival Redbirds Saturday, March 5.

The release of the MVC schedule completes Bradley's 2021-22 slate. In addition to its Nov. 4 exhibition game against McKendree, Bradley will play 29 regular-season games, 14 home contests at Renaissance Coliseum, 13 single road games and two games in the Tulane Classic. The 2022 Hoops in the Heartland MVC Women's Basketball Championship will follow the regular season schedule March 10-13 at iWireless Center in Moline, IL.
