Game Recap: Soccer |
PEORIA, IL – The Bradley soccer team fell in its Missouri Valley Conference home opener on Wednesday night as Loyola earned a 3-0 victory at Shea Stadium. The Ramblers improve to 5-2-1 and 2-0-1 in conference action, while the Braves drop to 2-6-0 and 1-2-0 in league play.

The Braves had their best chance of the night in the early going when Danny Collins intercepted a pass and had a path at goal. However, a Loyola defender recovered just in time to make a sliding block and keep the game scoreless.

Loyola then took advantage of one of its first real opportunities of the game in the 34th minute when Alex Moskal's header looped in over the BU goalie and into the net for the 1-0 score.

The Ramblers added two goals in the second half – Julian Cisneros finished off a low cross in the 52nd minute and Fabian Becerra connected after a Bradley clearance in the 70th minute for the 3-0 final tally.

Loyola finished with a 16-4 edge in shots on the night with Bradley's Bryce Logan recording three saves in net.

The Braves return to action on Saturday night against Missouri State. The program's annual homecoming game is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff at Shea Stadium.
