Rienk Mast Named Bradley Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

PEORIA, Ill. – Sophomore forward Rienk Mast (Groningen, Netherlands/Donar Groningen) has been named this week's Bradley Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after averaging 16.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 blocks per game in a pair of Missouri Valley Conference outings last week.

Mast had 13 points, four rebounds, four assists and one block last Wednesday against Missouri State. He followed that up with a game and season-high 20 points in Saturday's overtime contest at Loyola. Mast also had seven rebounds, one assist, three blocks and a steal in the road game against the Ramblers. A physics major, Mast owns a 3.64 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a student-athlete is selected as the Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Mast and the Braves return to action tonight, hosting Evansville in a 7 p.m. game at Carver Arena.
