For the fourth time this season, junior Terry Roberts of the Bradley basketball team was honored by the Missouri Valley Conference as the league's Newcomer of the Week, announced on Monday.

Leading the Braves to a 2-0 week, Roberts averaged 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks in a pair of victories against Drake and Southern Illinois. The junior college transfer opened the week on Wednesday with 18 points, eight rebounds and five assists at Drake, helping the Braves end the Bulldogs' 13-game home-court winning streak. Roberts then followed up with 18 points and six rebounds in a win over the Salukis, while also matching career highs with seven assists and three blocks.

Overall, Roberts leads BU and all newcomers in the league with 16.1 points, 4.5 assists and 1.7 steals – ranking fourth among all players in the Valley in scoring, first in assists and second in steals. His 16.1 points are also the most by a Bradley newcomer since Curtis Stuckey in 1989-90.

Roberts has collected the weekly accolade for the fourth time in 11 weeks this season (and for the second-straight week) – double the amount of any other player in the league. His four selections are also the most by a Bradley newcomer since Marcellus Sommerville collected six in 2003-04.

Roberts and the Braves return to action Wednesday with a road contest at Valparaiso. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
