No. 22 Missouri State Tops Bradley Soccer

Peoria, Ill. – A strong first half lifted nationally-ranked Missouri State past the Bradley soccer team as the 22nd-ranked visitors earned a 3-0 win Saturday night. The Braves fall to 2-6-1 overall, suffering their first home loss of the season, while the Bears improve to 6-1-2.
 
Missouri State got the scoring started in the 11th minute when Nicolo Mulatero scored off a low cross. The Bears then added two goals late in the half just three minutes apart. Lewis Green finished off a corner kick in the 31st minute before Mulatero tallied his second of the day in the 34th minute.
 
The Braves played a more competitive second half but were unable to find the netting as Missouri State secured the 3-0 win.
 
Junior Nick Burke registered a season-best eight saves to anchor the Braves in goal.
 
Bradley returns to action Wednesday night, hosting Drake at Shea Stadium for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
