Cross Country Wraps Up At NCAA Midwest Regionals

Columbia, Mo. -- The Bradley Men's and Women's Cross Country teams finished up their races at the NCAA Midwest Regionals on Friday. The men's team did not qualify for the NCAA Championships while the women's team will wait to see if they have been selected to move on after finishing in third place. 

The third-place finish by the women's team ties for the highest finish in school history. 

In the Women's 6K Race, Tyler Schwartz led the Braves with a time of 20:23.2, finishing ninth overall. Missouri Valley Conference Champion Nicola Jansen finished second on the team with a time of 20:26.8 and 11th overall. Four runners did earn All-Region honors including Schwartz, Jansen, Peyton Schieppe and Wilma Nielsen

The selection committee will send out who will move on to the NCAA Championships on Sunday, November 13th. 

The men's team finished in eighth place with George Watson leading the way. Watson ran a time of 30:10.2 to finish in 30th place. Alec Danner finished behind Watson in 32nd place with a time of 30:14.0.
