Peoria, IL - The Bradley men's basketball team filled Carver Arena for the first time in the 2022-23 season with their exhibition against Illinois-Wesleyan.

Eight Braves finished with 8+ points with senior Malevy Leons leading the charge finishing with 18 points, and 4 rebounds along with a solo block and assist to round out the stat sheet. Sophomore Zek Montgomery also chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds, this was Montgomery's first time seeing major minutes in his college career with nearly 20 minutes of game time.

The first half was a back-and-forth affair highlighted by Darius Hannah's windmill breakaway dunk to spark a BU run to put the Braves up 12 heading into the locker rooms. Connor Hickman led Bradley at the half in scoring with 9 points. Bradley led by as many as 18 points in the first half.

Bradley would add to their lead in the second half, leading by 20 with just a shade under 10 minutes to go in the contest. BU would then send in the second unit as no player from the home side played more than 26 minutes. Other notable performances were Hickman and Hannah combining for 18 points, and Ville Tahvanainen and Pop Weathers also added a combined total of 16 points off the bench.
