PEORIA, Ill. – The first of two trips to South Bend, Ind., for Bradley Track & Field is on tap this weekend, with the Braves sending a group of 30 individuals to compete at the Meyo Invitational Friday and Saturday at Notre Dame's Loftus Sport Center.

MEET INFO
Friday's action, which begins at 3:30 p.m. (CST), starts with the 60-meter prelims and also features the 200, 600 and 5,000 meters in addition to the distance medley relay.

The Braves are back on the track the next morning with Saturday's events including the triple jump, 400 meters, 800 meters, mile and 3,000 meters.  Saturday's action is slated to being at 9 a.m. (CST).

Freshman Amiyah Davis, who set the school record in the 400 meters earlier this season and owns the second-best time in the MVC this year, will help the Braves wrap up the weekend's competition in the women's 4x400.

Junior Charlie Parrish set a personal best in the 3,000 meters his last time out at the Cyclone Open back on Jan. 22 and is one of four Braves slated to run in the men's 3,000 meters Saturday.  Joining Parrish in the men's 3,000-meter field is senior Alec Danner, who will be making his first appearance of the 2022 indoor season after earning All-MVC honors in cross country this fall.

LAST TIME OUT
Bradley sent a small contingent to last weekend's UW Invitational in Seattle, Wash., where junior George Watson nearly broke the school record in the men's 5,000 meters.  On the women's side, sophomore Sophia McDonnell posted the best 5,000-meter time in the MVC since 2020.

The UW Invitational also featured sophomore Julia Nielsen, who turned in the top 800-meter time in the MVC this season.  In addition, freshman Nicola Jansen challenged the school record in the women's 3,000 meters last weekend.

UP NEXT
The Braves will compete at a pair of meets next week, with Bradley sending a group to Ames, Iowa, for the Iowa State Classic (Feb. 11 & 12), along with a contingent heading to Allendale, Mich., for the Grand Valley State Big Meet (Feb. 11).
