Evansville, Ind. – The Bradley men's basketball cruised to a 35-point victory at Evansville on Saturday afternoon, dominating the Purple Aces in a 76-41 win. The Braves are now 13-11 on the season and 7-5 in Missouri Valley Conference action, while Evansville drops to 5-16 and 1-9 in league play.
 
The 35-point victory is Bradley's largest Valley win in 22 seasons, while also marking the second-biggest road victory in school history and the largest in 61 seasons.
 
Senior Ari Boya led the Braves with his second career double-double and first of the season, tallying 10 points to go with a personal-best 14 rebounds. Sophomore Jayson Kent scored a game-high 14 points, while junior Ville Tahvanainen also scored in double figures with 12 points – connecting on four 3-pointers.
 
The Braves dominated right from the start. Leading, 15-12, Bradley rallied off 12-straight points to move in front by 15, 27-12. The Purple Aces were never within single digits the remainder of the game as Bradley led by as many as 21 points in the opening 20 minutes of action before heading into the locker room with a 37-19 lead.
 
It was more of the same in the second half as the Braves moved in front by 30 less than eight minutes into the frame – cruising to the 76-41 win.
 
Bradley made 50.0 percent of its field goals in the winning effort, including a 12-of-24 mark from 3-point range. The Braves also held the Purple Aces to just 27.1 percent shooting with a 6-of-23 mark from 3-point range.
 
The Braves especially dominated inside. Bradley outrebounded the Purple Aces, 46-23, holding a 30-12 advantage in the paint and a 15-0 edge in second-chance points.
 
Bradley returns home to face Loyola on Wednesday night. First tip at Carver Arena is set for 8 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
 
Game Notes: The 35-point win is Bradley's largest over a Valley school since an 80-39 victory against Northern Iowa on Feb. 5, 2000 … It also marks Bradley's second-largest road victory in school history, just three points shy of the record set on Jan. 14, 1961 at North Texas, 110-72 … The Braves scored a season-best 38 bench points … Bradley has won its last 35 games when shooting at least 50 percent … The Braves have won the last nine games in the series with the last three victories coming by a combined 100 points.
