Roberts and Mast Earn NABC All-District Honors

For the first time since 1986, the Bradley men's basketball team had two players recognized on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District Team as junior Terry Roberts earned first-team All-District 16 honors, while sophomore Rienk Mast collected second-team accolades.

It marks the first time in 36 years – when Hersey Hawkins and Jim Les earned the accolade – that two Braves were honored. Overall, it is the fifth-straight season at least one Brave received the award – the longest stretch at Bradley since a six-year run from 1958 to 1963.

The Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Year and the first Brave to receive first-team All-Valley honors in 11 seasons, Roberts led Bradley with 14.5 points, 4.1 assists and 1.6 steals per game, while also adding 4.9 rebounds during the 2021-22 season. He finished his first season on the Hilltop ranked first in the Valley in assists, second in steals and ninth in scoring.

Mast – one of just two underclassmen to earn the all-district honors – finished the season ranked first in the Valley in rebounding. Becoming just the fourth player in school history to lead the league in boards (in 70 years in the conference), Mast's 8.4 rebounds per game are the most by a Brave since Luke Jackson in 1989-90. A third-team All-Valley honoree, Mast also added 11.6 points per game during his sophomore campaign, ranking first on the team in Valley games with 13.9 points.

The NABC All-District Teams are selected by member coaches of the NABC.

The Braves finished the 2021-22 season with a 17-14 overall record and an 11-7 mark in Missouri Valley Conference action – tied for their most wins in Valley play in the last 21 seasons.
