Nikki Perlwitz Named Bradley Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

PEORIA, Ill. – Junior Nikki Perlwitz (Weston, Fla./Cypress Bay) has been named this week's Bradley Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after picking up a singles victory against I-74 rival Illinois State in the Missouri Valley Conference for Bradley Women's Tennis Sunday.

A 7-5, 6-4 winner at No. 6 Singles against Illinois State's Elena Jankulovska, Perlwitz picked up her fourth win in her last five matches and is now just the seventh player in program history to reach 60 career singles victories. An international studies major, Perlwitz owns a 3.48 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a student-athlete is selected as the Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Perlwitz and the Braves return to action this weekend, hosting Missouri State Saturday afternoon.
