PEKIN, IL. – Bradley Women's Tennis will seek its first Missouri Valley Conference win of the season as the Braves face the Missouri State Bears Saturday at Parkside Fitness. The match is set to be broadcasted on The Valley on ESPN.

SERIES HISTORY vs. MISSOURI STATE | LAST MEETING
  • Saturday will mark the 28th time Bradley has met Missouri State on the tennis court.
  • The Bears hold a 20-7 edge in the series including a 4-3 victory at The Clubs at River City last season.

  • Saturday's match will mark the third occasion and fourth match in Bradley Tennis history to be streamed on The Valley on ESPN.
  • This will also be the second consecutive year that Bradley Tennis has had a match hit the screens, as BU's 4-1 win against Northern Illinois at the David Markin Courts was broadcasted last season.
  • BU also streamed two matches during the inaugural Coliseum Classic during the 2016-17 season.

  • Bradley Tennis opened Missouri Valley Conference play with a 1-6 setback against preseason favorite Illinois State at the Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington.
  • Nikki Perlwitz picked up Bradley's lone point with a 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 6 Singles.
RECORD BOOK MOVERS
  • Nikki Perlwitz picked up her 60th career singles win against Illinois State. 
  • She is the seventh player in BU history to earn at least 60 career singles wins.
  • Perlwitz is one win shy of tying for sixth place in BU history with 61 career singles wins.
  • With three singles wins over spring break, Bozana Lojpur now ranks fifth in BU tennis history with 62 career singles victories. 
  • Teaming with Perlwitz, they have 40 career wins as a doubles tandem. That ranks them fourth in program history.
  • Madalena Andrade/Kirstin Hailey are one win shy of fifth place in BU history for most wins by a No. 1 Doubles pair in a single season.
AWARDS GALORE
  • Bradley's seven Valley weekly recognitions are second in the MVC this season.
  • Bradley Tennis has set a program record with four Doubles Team of the Week Awards this season.
  • Madalena Andrade/Kirstin Hailey have taken two Doubles Team of the Week awards for their efforts at the No. 1 spot, while Lojpur/Perlwitz earned two of their own at No. 2 and 3 Doubles.
  • Lojpur set a new program record with four career DTOTW honors for an individual.
  • Lojpur (No. 1) has taken two Singles Player of the Week honors and Maria Bezmenova (No. 4) has also earned one.
  • Bradley won MVC weekly awards in four consecutive weeks from February 8 – March 1, tied for the longest streak in BU history.
WINNING TRENDS
  • BU only has one win in which the No. 1 Doubles team of Andrade/Hailey does not win. 
  • Both No. 1 and No. 3 Doubles are 7-1 in Bradley victories this season.
  • Bradley is 8-9 in the doubles point and 5-2 in matches where they win the doubles point. Their losses are Southeast Missouri State and Murray State.
  • The Braves have also only picked up one victory when the student-athlete patrolling No. 1 Singles is unable to win.
