Hannah Ivy Named Bradley Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

PEORIA, Ill. – Junior sprinter Hannah Ivy (Glendale Heights, Ill./Glenbard North) has been named this week's Bradley Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after breaking a pair of school records at last weekend's Joe Walker Invite.

Ivy started Saturday's action in Oxford, Miss., by topping the school mark in the 400 meters that dated back to 1991 with a time of 54.86 seconds to finish third in the event. Later in the day, Ivy was part of a school record 4x400-meter relay team that bettered the previous school mark by nearly three seconds as the Braves took third with a time of 3:43.40. An English education major, Ivy owns a 3.22 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a student-athlete is selected as the Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

The Bradley Track & Field teams will compete at three different meets this week with individuals making the short trip down I-74 for the Redbird Challenge in Normal, Ill,. Friday and Saturday along with some Braves heading to California for the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Mt. SAC Relays Thursday and Friday.
