Braves Win Two Races at Sycamore Open

Bradley Track and Field completed its final tune-up before next month's MVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships

TERRE HAUTE, IN – Freshman Ivan Westcott won the Men's 800m and the Bradley Women's Track and Field squad recorded a pair of personal bests, highlighting action at Saturday's Sycamore Open, hosted by Indiana State.

Westcott's finish in the 24-person 800m race in a time of 1:55.75 was one of two championship runs by the Braves Saturday: the Women's 4x100m Relay squad of Sierra Bryant, Kelsey Dalton, Kyra Koontz and Sidney Martin took first among four teams in 48.60.

Freshman Shae Fuller posted a personal-best 12.73 seconds to finish sixth in the Women's 100m and classmate Maya Henderson also turned in a PR 2:25.79 in the Women's 800m.

In addition to Saturday's action at the Sycamore Open, Bradley completed its three-day participation at the Drake Relays by competing in the Women's 4x400m Relay. The quartet of Hannah Ivy, Julia Nielsen, Reina McMillan and Amiyah Davis finished third among 15 entries with a time of 3:47.00, the third-best tin in program history.

Bradley now will turn its attention to the postseason, starting with the 2022 Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Drake May 13-15.
