PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley Men's Golf makes its first trip to the state of Nebraska since the 1998 Missouri Valley Conference Championship with the Braves heading to Elkhorn, Neb., for the Stampede at the Creek, which will be played Monday and Tuesday at the par-72 Club at Indian Creek.

The Stampede at the Creek will mark Bradley's final outing before the 2021-22 MVC Championship, which will be held later this month and also marks a rarity on the schedule for the Braves, with team's counting four scores out of a six-person lineup instead of the traditional five-player lineup.

Action gets underway Monday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start to the opening two rounds, while Tuesday's final round will also feature a 9 a.m. shotgun start.

The nine-team field includes MVC rival Northern Iowa along with Green Bay, North Dakota, North Dakota State, tournament-host Omaha, St. Thomas, South Dakota and Western Illinois.

Bradley's last trip to the Cornhusker State came in late April of 1998 when the Braves took part in the MVC Championship which was held in Ashland, Neb., at Quarry Oaks Golf Club.

Junior Josh Kirkham, who was named Bradley's Prairie Farms Athlete of the Month for March, has paced the Braves in all nine outings of the 2021-22 season and has averaged 70.5 per round over the last four rounds.  Kirkham ranks 12th with a team-best 74.00 season stroke average, which would be the best by a Brave since Drake Bushong averaged 73.26 per round in 2018-19 and would rank 10th among Bradley season marks.

Transfer Aaeri Krishnan fired a season-best 71 in opening round of the Butler Spring Invitational last time out and his 74.75 stroke average over the last four rounds is almost three shots better than his average entering the last two tournaments.

Junior John Stillman matched the low round of his career in the final round of the Butler Spring Invite back on March 29 and has a career-best nine rounds in the 70's this season, while already tying a career-high with 20 rounds played.

Fellow junior Nick Armbrust also matched his lowest round of the 2021-22 season in each of the last two outings with opening rounds 75's at both the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate and the Butler Spring Invite.  Armbrust has been part of Bradley's lineup in each of the last three events.

Both junior Roy Radke and sophomore Brady Kreiter have both carded their low rounds of the spring in each of the last two tournaments to help highlight the spring season for the Braves.

Bradley follows up the Stampede at the Creek with the MVC Championship, which will be held in Paducah, Ky., April 24-26 at the Country Club of Paducah.
