FAYETTEVILLE, AR – Bradley's postseason outdoor track and field run begins Thursday with a trio of women hitting the oval for the Braves in the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship West Preliminary at the University of Arkansas' John McConnell Field.

Sophomore Tiana LoStracco will be the first of Bradley's six postseason qualifiers to begin her pursuit for a trip to Eugene, OR next month by competing in the first round of the Women's 1,500m at 6:30 Thursday night.  Sisters Julia Nielsen and Wilma Nielsen will follow by running the first round of the Women's 800m at 7:50 pm.

Thursday's action at the West Preliminary will be streamed live by SEC Network Plus with coverage slated to begin at 6 o'clock.

With a seed time of 4:22.84, LoStracco will run in Heat Four of the Women's 1,500m.  She is the only Missouri Valley Conference student-athlete competing in the event in the West Preliminary.

The Nielsen sisters both landed in Heat 2 of the Women's 800m Thursday night.  Julia Nielsen won the individual championship in the 800m during the 2022 MVC Track and Field Championship two weeks ago, edging out runner-up Wilma Nielsen, who earned honorable mention All-America honors at the distance in 2021 after becoming the first-ever Bradley freshman to reach the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship.  She went on to set The Valley record (2:02.29) at the distance during the 2021 European U23 Championship.

Thursday's trio of competitors are among the six Bradley student-athletes to qualify for the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship West Preliminary.  Charlie Parrish will run the semifinals of the Men's 3,000m Steeplechase Friday (5:40 pm), while Thursday's trio could return to action Saturday with quarterfinal runs in their respective events, joining Sophia McDonnell (Women's 3,000m Steeplechase) and Nicola Jansen (Women's 5,000m) during the final day of events at the West Preliminary.

The 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships are slated for June 8-11 at the University of Oregon.
