Bradley Softball Earns NFCA Academic Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- For the 16th time in the last 17 times awarded, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) has recognized the academic achievements of Bradley Softball with the Braves named one of the organization's 2021-22 All-Academic Teams.

In addition, Bradley had 10 individuals earn Division I All-American Scholar-Athlete honors according to a recent release by the NFCA, marking the second-most in program history behind only the 11 individual honorees in 2018-19.

Bradley tied for 63rd among NCAA Division I softball programs with a 3.50 grade point average for the 2021-22 academic year and the Braves were one of nine Missouri Valley Conference squads to receive NFCA All-Academic Team honors.

Senior Grace French helped headline a group of 10 Braves to earn NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete recognition for posting a 3.50 grade point average or higher for the 2021-22 academic year. French, who was a Second-Team NFCA All-Mideast Region selection this past spring, was an honorable mention MVC Scholar-Athlete in 2022.

Joining French among Bradley's NCFA All-American Scholar-Athlete honrees were Abbott Badgley, Raegan Branon, Lucy Mead, Katie Pederson, Samantha Smith, Abigail Tyler, Keeler van Breusegen, Jordy van der Werf and Addie Welsh.

Overall, Bradley had 11 individuals earn a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll in both the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 semesters and 15 Bradley Softball student-athletes landed on the Bradley AD Honor Roll at least one semester in 2021-22.
