About the Braves
Bradley Tennis begins its 46th season of competition, opening the 2022-23 schedule this weekend at the SIUE Cougar Invitational in Edwardsville, Ill., Friday and Saturday. The season-opening tournament will feature in-state opponents Eastern Illinois and tournament-host SIU Edwardsville.

The Braves have posted three consecutive winning seasons heading into 2022-23, marking the first such three-year run since 1990-93.

The 2022-23 Bradley roster features a mix of experience and newcomers as 10^th-year Bradley Head Coach Matt Tyler welcomes four new individuals in Dixie State transfer Alexandra Hildreth and the freshmen trio of Anna Belogliadova, Mariia Pukhina, and Madi Rogers to a squad that returns four letterwinners in Madalena Andrade, Maria Bezmenova, Kirstin Hailey, and Juliana Martinez,

Hailey earned Missouri Valley Conference All-Select honors last season after tying for third on the squad in singles wins (14) while holding down the spot at No. 2 singles. In doubles action, she teamed with Andrade at No. 1 in the lineup, with the pair capturing MVC Doubles Team of the Week honors three times last spring.

Last Time Out
Andrade and Hailey both went undefeated in singles action at last year's Cougar Invitational to highlight the 2021-22 season opener for the Braves.

Bradley has a few weeks off from competition before returning to action Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at the Redbird Invite in Normal, Ill.
