Meeting for the first time this season, Bradley and Evansville faced off in a match-up at the Renaissance Coliseum, with the Braves still searching for their first conference win.
The Braves seemed to struggle shooting tonight, going 36.2% from three, 30.8% from three and 62.5% from the free throw line, all of which are below their season averages.
Caroline Waite and
Daija Powell both put 12 points on the board and grabbed a combined 10 rebounds. Powell was a presence down low as her teammates continued to find her once they were double teamed, leaving her with a wide open basket.
Evansville got their shots to fall, shooting nearly 50% from the floor and 47% from three, but they struggled at the free throw line, shooting 57.9%. Abby Feit once again led the way for the Purple Aces with 28 points, 12 rebounds and three assists.
The game was filled with fouls on both ends, Bradley finishing with 19 and Evansville with 16.
Alex Rouse and
Veronika Roberts both ended the game with four fouls, and Celine Dupont had four while Barbora Tomancova fouled out for Evansville.
