The Braves and Flames met for the first time this year at the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago as Bradley continued their search for their first conference win.
The Braves scored below their season average today with only 38 points. Getting shots to fall did not come easy for the Braves as they shot 31.1% from the floor, 18.2% from three and 61.5% from the free throw line.
Ruba Abo Hashesh led the way for the Braves with 10 points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Daija Powell chipped in eight points, six rebounds, two assists and a block.
Alex Rouse scored six points, grabbed three rebounds and dished out two assists.
UIC looked to Jaida McCloud to led them tonight, and that's just what she did. McCloud finished the game with 20 points, eight rebounds, four assists and one block. The Flames shot 40.9% from the floor, 30% from three and 52.6% from the free throw line, but the missed free throws didn't do much damage as they defeated Bradley 52-38.
The game seemed to be another matchup flooded with fouls. Bradley finished the game with 19 personal fouls. Everyone who came into the game was at least called for one foul, five of whom finished with multiple. For UIC, the Flames also ended the game with 19 fouls and had eight players with multiple fouls. Ky Dempsey-Toney fouled out in the fourth quarter for the Flames.
