The Braves headed down to Springfield in search of their first conference win and found a tough Missouri State team waiting for them.
The Braves were in for a tough battle with Missouri State, who lead the all-time series 62-25. The Salukis shot 66.7% and 56.3% in the first two quarters, making 17 of their 28 shots. Bradley faired well from the floor, averaging 44% between the first two quarters and making three of four from the free throw line. The Braves also shot well from beyond the arc, going four for six, while Missouri State went three for six. SIU got to the free throw ten times in the first half and made six of those shots. The Lady Bears continued their strong shooting performance in the third quarter, going 12 for 22 (54.6%), but they struggled to find a made shot from beyond the arc and went two for five from the free throw line. Bradley continued their consistent scoring in the third as they shot 43.8%, but they failed to make a trip to the free throw line. Shooting seemed to be a struggle for both teams in the fourth, with the Braves shooting 25% and the Lady Bears shooting 33.3%. Bradley went three for eleven from beyond the arc in the second and made both free throws they attempted in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough as they fell 54-87.
