PEORIA, Ill. – The Bradley Braves lost for the second time during the 2023 season, falling against Missouri State, 6-0. Bradley is now 4-2-4 (0-2-0), while Missouri State stays unbeaten and improves to 6-0-2 (3-0-0).
Bradley implemented a conservative strategy during the first half, giving the visitors control of the ball. The Braves successfully contained the Bears for the first 15 minutes of the game. In the 15th minute, Pablo Guillen found the opener to give the Bears the lead.
Both teams had options to score during the remainder of the first half. However, in the 42nd minute, Pablo Guillen capitalized on a dangerous freekick outside the area to make it 2-0 before halftime.
Missouri State netted a third goal in the 52nd minute and a fourth goal a couple of minutes later. The Bears netted two more goals in the 70th and 72nd minutes to firmly take the win and head back to Springfield, Mo., 6-0 winners.
Bradley had five shots during the game, while the Bears had 17, of which ten were on goal.

The Braves will be back in action next Friday, October 6, at 7 p.m. as they host Belmont at Shea Stadium. The Braves have a record of 4-2-1 all-time against the Bruins. Belmont won 2-1 the last time both teams met in 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee. The game will be available on ESPN+.
