NORMAL, Ill. – Bradley Tennis competed in its second individual competition over the weekend, traveling to Illinois State for the Redbird Invitational. 

Alexandra Hildreth and Anna Belogliadova were crowned champions of the Doubles Flight #3 bracket, highlighting a successful individual competition for the Braves. The duo of Kirstin Hailey and Andra Sirbu finished third in Doubles Flight #1. Belogliadova, Hailey and Mariia Pukhina finished third in Singles Flights #2, 4 and 5, respectively.

Six Bradley athletes competed at the Redbird Invitational and all but one athlete finished with an individual record of .500 or better in the tournament, combining singles and doubles.

Anna Belogliadova led the way for Bradley, going 6-1 across three doubles matches and four singles matches. Three Braves finished with 4-2 records over the three-day event. Bradley athletes combined to go 23-14 (.622 win percentage) across all matches, going 6-3 in doubles and 17-11 in singles matches.

The Braves now prepare for the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championships, held Oct. 6-8 at Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, Mo.
