BARTONVILLE, Ill. – The Bradley Women's Golf team won their second team title of the season in the Coyote Creek Classic, the lone home tournament of the season, at Coyote Creek Golf Club in nearby Bartonville.
This is the fourth time Bradley has won a home golf tournament and the first win for the team at Coyote Creek Golf Club. It is also the first time Bradley has won multiple team titles in a season since 2015-16 when the Braves won the Cardinal Challenge and the Bradley Invitational.
Tournament Recap
From the beginning of round one on Oct. 7, Bradley and Illinois State topped the team leaderboard and continuously traded the lead throughout the first two rounds. Entering day three, Bradley held a three-stroke lead over the Redbirds. As day three progressed, Bradley was able to pull away from Illinois State and win by eight strokes for the program's second team title of the season and the 20th team title in program history.
The Braves finished the two-day, 54-hole tournament at +33, eight strokes ahead of Illinois State (+41). Purdue-Fort Wayne brought home third place at +59.
Individually,
Grace Aromando finished second to Illinois State's Jinyoung Yun by two strokes. Similar to the Redbird Invitational one month prior, Aromando and Yun battled for the individual championship at the Coyote Creek Classic with Purdue-Fort Wayne's Olivia Jang keeping pace. Ultimately, Yun would take home the individual title finishing even with par for the tournament, while Aromando finished +2 and Jang finished +3.
Maria Perakis and
Jillian Cosler joined Aromando in the top ten as five of the six Bradley golfers entered finished in the top 20. Perakis recorded her first top ten and third top 20 of the season (sixth, +8), while Cosler tied her career-best finish of seventh (+9). Aromando tallied her third top-five finish in four meets.
Mara Flaherty (T12, +16) and
Allison Pacocha (T17, +18) each finished in the top 20 for the second time this season.

Coming Up…
Bradley will finish the Fall portion of the season at the Diamante Intercollegiate, held in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. The tournament runs from Oct. 22-24.
