Box Score PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley Men's Basketball secured a victory over the Utah State Aggies in their second consecutive overtime game on Saturday night, advancing to 2-0 after both overtime wins.
Game Recap
In their first matchup since Nov. 11 of last season, the Bradley Braves defeated the Utah State Aggies by a score of 72-66 in overtime. The Aggies held a narrow lead over the Braves in the first half with a score of 30-28.
The Braves and Aggies shot 39% and 38% in the first half, respectively. The largest lead for both teams was by four points, with both teams committing six turnovers.
In the second half, Bradley held a seven point lead over Utah State with seven minutes left but the Aggies came back to tie the game and force overtime.
The Aggies recorded 23 rebounds in the second half while the Braves had 22. Bradley outscored Utah State by two points but went 3-for-12 beyond the arc.
The Braves played in their second consecutive overtime contest and their first at Carver Arena on Saturday night. It was once again a back-and-forth affair between both teams but the Braves came away.
With 10 seconds left in the game, Christian Davis landed a three pointer to give the Braves a 70-66 lead.
Connor Hickman set a new career high with 21 points in the game. He also had eight rebounds and four assists. Malevy Leons landed nine points with nine rebounds, five assists and four steals. Davis went 3-for-5 from the three point line and Darius Hannah tallied three blocks.
Bradley shot 42.9% from the field while the Aggies shot 33.8%. They recorded 46 rebounds, 12 assists, six steals and six blocks versus Utah State.

Bradley is back in action at Carver Arena on Tuesday night against Tarleton State to start the 2023 SoCal Challenge. The game starts at 7 PM. This game will be streamed on ESPN+ or listen here.
