MURRAY, Ky. – Bradley Men's Basketball fell to Murray State on the road by a score of 79-72 on Wednesday night. The Braves are now 6-1 this season and 0-1 in MVC play.
Murray State held a 42-32 lead over Bradley at halftime. The Braves collected 19 rebounds while the Racers had 16. Bradley also had 18 of their 32 points in the paint.
Malevy Leons led the way for Bradley with 10 points and three rebounds. Darius Hannah tallied five points and five rebounds.
In the second half, the Braves outscored the Racers 40-37 but could not complete a comeback on the road. Bradley and Murray State were tied in rebounds with 33 in the game. The Braves shot 33% from beyond the arc and recorded 14 second chance points with seven steals in the game.
After a career-high in his last game, Hannah had a new career-best in points with 19. The senior was 9-for-10 from the field with 10 rebounds. Leons had 14 points and Connor Hickman collected 11 points with three three-pointers. Off the bench, Ahmet Jonovic was 5-for-8 from the field with 11 points. Duke Deen and Christian Davis both made two three-point shots.
